I created this trading card a couple of years ago I think, possibly for MYFest, possibly for another version of the Intentionally Equitable Hospitality series. I’m really excited to be able to connect with this community and continue to learn to adopt more equitable teaching and facilitation practices. I find I still have much to learn and practice, and having the time and virtual space to do so with others taking this series is wonderful!

Hair is a such an enigmatic and signature thing to capture here in the self-designed trading card version of you. If I was to do a sketch of myself, my hair would certainly be distinct feature too. It also had me thinking about how a physical signature like this is also, by default, a clear cultural marker. And how that is interpreted/undertsood, based on what spaces/places you move in.
