I was recently switching resume/CV formats, so have been overly focused on traditional ways we tend to communicate about what we do and what we have done. Words from Parker Palmer probably best describe the thing that captivates my mind much of my days. Palmer writes:
I am a teacher at heart, and there are moments in the classroom when I can hardly hold the joy.
Curiosity and imagination are two other forces that move throughout my brain most often. My hunger for learning is insatiable and I enjoy trying to organize all the things flying at me, while recognizing that is impossible and enjoying the serendipity of what winds up resurfacing in some sort of plea for my attention.
My love of teaching and learning shows up in my job (Dean of Teaching + Learning) and in my podcasting (Teaching in Higher Ed). I’m excited about being a part of MYFest, once again, this year and to the learning from this IEH series.
