Hi Charles, your video is really great and I like the fact that we forget that visual are a great way of communicating, I felt the emotions in between your words and that for me is important.
Like you, School for me was not so much fun, especially when my hyper-ness was never understood and take as disruptive. Today I can do to others what I did not get and I hope you keep sharing your story so that others like me know that they were and are not alone in this journey. Thank you
Hi Charles, thank you so much for the video. Listening to you really helped me to understand why I was drawn to do this course. When you mentioned Susan Blum I looked up a review of her book. I have it on my reading list now 🙂
In the live session on Wednesday I described an experience I had in my final year of primary school when a ‘sub’ teacher arrived for the whole year and created a context that was like learning in the wild. That year had such an impact on me and it showed me how liberating education could be. I came to this course because I want to create equitable, imaginative and dynamic learning environments that nourish people who attend. This of course requires a lot of knowledge, understanding and openness.
Thanks again,
Aine
